If you’d like to visit Greece to explore and so you need sites to be open, you likely don’t want to accidentally intrude upon a public holiday. This would mean that the services would be closed and you would be stuck. Similarly, shops would also be closed, not just on Sundays. Today, we’ll go over a list of the public holiday dates in Greece in 2024 so you know what to expect!

As you can see, you have a fairly traditional set of celebrations in Greece, with most of them being related to religious practices. Greeks do celebrate quite a bit and celebrations there are a wondrous time of family gatherings with barbecues or other feats of Greek cuisine and relaxation.
