What’s the weather like in Rhodes in September?

If you’re trying to avoid the insane crowds that flock everywhere during the high season, you’re certainly not alone. Out-of-season holidays are becoming more and more popular, with autumn being a particularly great time for it, as it’s still quite warm in most places. What about Rhodes? Let’s take a look!

September temperatures in Rhodes

Let’s start with the preliminary question: is it still warm in September in Rhodes? Yes, practically like you’ve never left summer. It’s common for temperatures to stay above 30°C throughout much of the month, with the average monthly temperature at 28°C. Nights are also still very warm, likely warmer than our day temperatures at home, at 21°C.

You can also certainly hit up a beach, as the sea is just as warm as in the summer, at 25°C. It’s a perfect time for hot holidays with fewer people. Of course, September is still largely crowded, as it’s still very warm, but it’s a bit less bad than in August.

What is the weather like on Rhodes in September?

Apart from the temperatures, the rest of the weather is also perfectly summer-like. You still have practically no rain, with one rainy day a month on average. You still get 12 hours of daylight and whooping 11 hours of sunshine included in that a day. That’s a ratio that we could dream of in summer.

As such, September is practically an extended summer on Rhodes – you can expect beaches to be a bit less crowded, though it’s still hot enough to attract many. If you want it hot but not too hot, September is pretty good for that. If you’d prefer to have even less people, maybe consider November in Greece?
