Sea temperature on Zakynthos in June

Zakynthos has a hot-summer Mediterranean climate – this means that the summer is, as the name suggests, very hot, very sunny and very dry (rainfall is pretty much nonexistent). June can already see about 28°C during the day on average. Meanwhile, the sea is at about 22°C already, so also very pleasant! … and merely two degrees warmer in July. What about Zakynthos? Similarly, two degrees up, up to 24°C average. It’s also the month where 30°C becomes the low-average for a day, so you’re going to need that refreshment, trust us. It doesn’t get much warmer than this, perhaps a degree or two higher in August at most. It’s very, very warm, in short. It’s no wonder that all the popular beaches on Zakynthos are overcrowded from morning to sunset.
