What’s the water temperature in Mallorca in July and August?

Oh, sweet Majorca. It’s most unsurprising that Mallorca, the Spanish island in the Balearic Islands archipelago, is so popular with tourists. Its wondrous weather and beautiful sights are unlike any other in the region. Does its wonderful temperatures carry over to its waters as well? What water temperatures can you find in Mallorca in July and August? Is it warm enough for long relaxing swims?

Water temperatures in July

July waters in Mallorca are very pleasant, sitting at around 25 degrees Celsius during the day, so it’s most ideal for sea bathing. The waters will be slightly warmer in the south of the island, near Palma, than in the north, nearer Alcudia. Additionally, this is most likely the only refreshment you can get in Mallorca (apart from pools and, you know, taps), as this month in Mallorca is near-completely rain-free. Still, not an issue with a whole coast of nice warm waters at your disposal.

Water temperatures in August

August, as is customary for the Mediterranean, is really hot in Spain, and Mallorca’s waters are not immune to this either, though there isn’t that much a difference from July. You can expect about a degree Celsius up, so about 25-27 degrees Celsius in the sea, depending on where you decide to swim. Similar situation with the rain, so make use of the pleasant refreshing waters whenever you can. Please remember to be cautious about the heat and cling to shade when it gets too hot. Stay safe and have a great one.
