What is the water temperature like in Cyprus in June?

Cyprus is one of the sunniest islands in the Mediterranean. It is well renowned for its high temperatures which remain high for most of the year. The holiday season in Cyprus starts in May and lasts until October. It is very hot there in June – the air temperature averages 28°C, but often goes above 30°C. Unsurprisingly, the water surrounding Cyprus is also delightfully warm. In June, the sea near the island is more or less 24°C. Great for lazy bathing and swimming.

What is the water temperature like in Cyprus in July?

July is, next to August, the hottest month on the island. The average air temperature in Cyprus at that time is 32°C, so pretty much scorching hot. As you can imagine, the waters can’t possibly be cold at such a time, and so water temperatures sit at around 25-26°C. As such, it’s perfect for long days spent on the beautiful beaches of Cyprus, no matter which ones you choose. As long as you can stand the heat, July is a perfect month for enjoying long, pleasant swims.
