What are the water temperatures like in Ibiza in July and August?

Are you planning a holiday to the Spanish isles and want to know whether you’ll find warm comforting waters in July and August? It’s understandable, as we wouldn’t want our immersion in a beach paradise to be interrupted by cold unpleasant waters. So what water temperatures can you encounter in Ibiza in July and August?

Water temperatures in July

July in the Balearic Islands archipelago is always a guaranteed heatwave. Can the water there also boast high temperatures? Due to the lack of cold currents and the constant scorching sun, you can confidently expect 25 degrees Celsius in your beach waters in July. Depending on the location, you can even encounter slightly warmer waters, around 26°C and slightly up, which is even more ideal for a quick splash.

Water temperatures in August

August delivers the highest temperatures in the air, as well as in the surrounding waters. So don’t be surprised if, during a heatwave of almost 40 degrees, the water temperature board shows you 27°C. Given the pervasive heat and high humidity, the water can be a real saviour – even if you’re not too much a fan of bathing, you should consider jumping in once in a while amidst the heat.

Nonetheless, don’t be fooled that Ibiza may be a boring little beach resort only, as its true life begins for real in the evening! 🙂
