Rhodes is one of the brightest gems of Greece and it’s visited by millions of tourists every year. If you’d like to join the crowd this year, you’d likely want to know how to get to the centre from your airport of choice. Don’t fret, we’ll help you with that one today.
How to get from the Rhodes Airport to the city centre?
The Rhodes Airport is about 10 miles from the city centre, so you’re going to need some way of getting there. The cheapest way would be using a bus. You can find a bus stop 300 metres from the entrance to the terminal. The journey from the stop to the city centre takes about 40 minutes and the tickets cost about €2.50. You can double-check the current prices and schedule at the official website of the bus here.
If you’d prefer something more convenient and you just so happen to not care about money, you can also opt for a taxi. This way, you don’t have to worry about carrying your baggage from the bus stop to your hotel. As you can imagine, this is much, much more expensive, with fares starting at €40 one-way.
A final alternative is to hire a car which gives you the opportunity to not only get from the airport to the centre of Rhodes but also to explore the whole island this way! The cost of a week’s rental for the cheapest cars in low season starts at about €150 per week.
