There’s a good chance you’re quite familiar with or at least well aware of Sagrada Familia, it being the arguably most unique and important attraction of Spain. The Sagrada Familia is the ultimate showpiece of Barcelona. Designed by Antoni Gaudi, the temple is still under construction, but you can take a tour inside. Construction of the basilica began in 1882 and is scheduled to be completed by 2026. Elements of the interior are due to be completed by 2032.

There are a couple of ticket types to Sagrada Familia you can choose from, hence why the price varies:

  • A regular ticket costs €26
  • For those under 30 years old, the ticket costs €24
  • Children (up to 11 years old) have free entry
  • Seniors’ ticket costs €21
  • Students’ ticket costs €21 as well

You can also buy a ticket to both the basilica and the Torres Sagrada Familia tower:

  • A regular ticket costs €36
  • €34 for those under 30 years old
  • Children (up to 11 years old) have free entry
  • Seniors’ ticket costs €28
  • Students’ ticket costs €34

For a tour with a guide, you can add an average of €4 to either of the tickets you choose.

It’s most convenient to buy tickets from the official Sagrada Familia Basilica website at: https://tickets.sagradafamilia.org/.

First, you must select the type of ticket you prefer, then the date and time of entry to both the cathedral and the tower if you have chosen it. The system will give you suggestions for that. If you have chosen a guided tour, you can choose your preferred language.

Finally, you’ll have your details and your payments and all of that at the end.

 

How long does it take to see the Sagrada Familia?

 

The tour of the Sagrada Familia takes about 45 minutes.

A bit more if you also add the tower, which is accessed by a lift and you descend from it by stairs.
