Which part of Spain is warmest in June?

In search of an answer to this question, we checked dozens of travel blogs from all around the world, and most of them come to the consensus that the warmest region in Spain in June is Andalusia, located in the southern part of the country. So let’s see what the hottest temperatures Spain has to offer look like.

Most sources state that the average daily temperature in Andalusia is between 29 and 32 degrees Celsius, and it is not uncommon for thermometers to approach the 40 degree Celsius mark at times. The high temperatures are felt especially strongly in the region’s larger cities, Seville and Malaga, coincidentally particularly favoured tourist spots.

That’s, however, not the only focus point of heat in Spain. High temperatures are also commonly found in Mallorca (fluctuating around 30 degrees Celsius), as well as in the rest of Spain’s large cities, including Madrid (similarly around 30 degrees) and Barcelona (averaging 28 degrees Celsius during the day).

All of that, however, is for the day. For the night owls among you, or for those of you who simply want to experience Spain with only the city lights to guide once or twice, we also checked the warmest spots in Spain in June at night. In this case, the highest average thermometer readings are recorded in Andalusia, Tenerife and Mallorca (in all these cases, we are talking about 19-20 degrees Celsius). Tenerife is particularly noteworthy in this respect, as the difference between daytime and nighttime temperatures is only 4 degrees Celsius.

So for the landlubbers among you, this should cover your packing considerations for Spain in June. For the rest of you, beach rats, we will also go over where you can find the warmest Spanish waters in June.

Where will you find the warmest waters in Spain?

Most available sources suggest that the highest water temperature in Spain in June is found in Barcelona, reaching as high as 26 degrees Celsius. And what about the rest of Spain in June? In Mallorca and the Canary Islands, the waters stay at an average of 21 degrees Celsius. The sea is slightly cooler in Andalusia and Tenerife, where its temperatures usually reach around 20 degrees Celsius.
