When does lavender bloom in Tuscany?

When looking at photos from Tuscany, we got quite jealous of the beautiful lavender fields that the locals can gaze at and make pictures of daily. Though Lavender fields are mainly known from France, Provence specifically, you can also find beautiful purple meadows in Tuscany. If you, too, would like to see them in their full glory, then we’ll look at when the local lavender typically blooms.

 

When does lavender bloom in Tuscany?

The best time to catch the lavender season is from May to July. Some of the tour companies even offer tours of the Tuscan countryside and its gardens, including the lavender fields. Don’t forget your camera!

 

Where does lavender bloom in Tuscany?

If you’re looking for lavender fields in Tuscany, then you should certainly consider Val d’Orcia and Monte Amiata. You can also find some south of Siena, a decent spot for photos. You can also drive north of Tuscany, to Piedmont. Finally, there are also some beautiful meadows near Casola Valsenio, in Emilia Romagna.
