How much does it cost to enter the Verona Arena?

If you would like to visit Verona, then you’ll invariably find the Verona Arena eventually. The massive circular structure is one of the best preserved structures from ancient times. As far as must-sees go in Verona, this one is certainly high up there. But how much will it cost you to enter? When does the Arena open? Let’s take a look!

The amphitheatre is the third largest such arena in Italy. This ancient structure was built in the 1st century AD and is one of the best preserved amphitheatres in the world. At first, it was used for bloody gladiatorial fights. Today, it’s a venue for concerts and various performances. The Arena is best visited in the low season when there are fewer tourists and, therefore, less crowds.

When is the Verona Arena open?

As for opening hours, the monument is open from Tuesday to Sunday, from 9am to 7pm (if there are currently no performances). Mondays are closed.

Currently, as of late 2023, there’s restoration work being done on the Arena. As a result, here are the changes in schedules:

  • 06.11 – 06.12.2023 – closed
  • 07.12.2023 – 07.01.2024 – open from 9am to 3pm
  • 08.01 – 09.02.2024 – closed
  • 10.02 – 15.03.2024 – open from 9am to 3pm
