Though Christmas markets have never really been the pride of Italy, the one at Piazza Navona is certainly Rome’s outlier in that regard. It’s located next to the church of St Agnes. You can find everything you could possibly desire from a Christmas market here – wine, sweets, chestnuts, all sorts of Christmas food, souvenirs and crafts. There are also nativity scenes and various fun activities for children, like carousels and puppet shows.
When does the Christmas Market open in Piazza Navona?
The market opens up on the 1st of December and lasts until 6th of January. The stalls usually open up at 10 am and stay open till 1 am (and 2 am during the weekend).
